I ran in my 20s whilst training to be a primary school teacher and then life and babies took over! I returned to running in my 50s and once I had joined LRC I never looked back. The coaches, run leaders and club members are inspirational and have encouraged me to enter fun runs, races and trails. In fact I can’t quite believe that I have completed several half marathons, as well as lots of 5k and 10k races.

I love the social aspect of club runs and have made so many good friends along the way. Running has improved my health, fitness and stamina, as well as just being awesome fun! Being a Run Leader allows me to encourage and support other new runners, and, hopefully, they will catch the running bug, too!
