I started running at the age of 18. My first competitive race in my early twenties was a 10K in which I came second.
A few years later I joined a local running club, Farnham Runners and entered the London Marathon through the ballot. I also managed to get in the following year and ran a Good For Age time, although at the time I didn’t realise it!
I went on to do many more marathons, half marathons and lots of shorter races. I am hoping to enter the London Marathon again in 2019 which will be my third race in the Championship category. As a chronic migraine sufferer, I find running helps manage and cope with the condition. I will continue to run into my old age. Running can turn a bad day into a good day. Keep running
